About me

Ken Deacon

I was born west of the River Medway in Kent, which makes me a Kentish Man (If I were born to the east, I’d be a Man of Kent). I’m now exiled to Gloucestershire.

This photo was taken at the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Slimbridge, not far from where I live.

Until I retired, I was a primary school teacher. My advice is:  ‘If you can’t find the answer, ask a bright kid.’

I write about places I’ve visited, some just around the corner and some involving air miles, in the hope that they’ll interest you. Occasionally I’ve also thrown in a book I’ve read that has a travel theme.
